Kindness #4

This week I did many kind things, one of them included teaching.  A day ago I was just playing basketball and then this guy came up to me and asked me if I wanted 1v1 him. So then the next minute we were 1v1ing, at the and I beat him 0-10. I realized he was a beginner and that he didn’t know the basic. Therefore, I asked him if he wanted to know some tips and he said yes. I taught him how to actually dribble, how to do a proper layup and many other things. As you can see, I did an act of kindness yesterday.

Kindness #3

Over the week I have done many acts of kindness, one being helping others, A few days ago, I went to my cousins house and we were just play when he realized that he hadn’t done his homework, while he was working, he realized that he didn’t even know how to do any of the math questions, he didn’t want to go and ask his mom either because she was talking to my mom and a few other people. So I realized that I’ve learned the type of math he was doing already so I told him the formula to how to get the answer. I was happy afterwards because I helped him and I’m pretty sure he was happy also since now he knew how to solve the questions. That’s one of the many acts of kindness I’ve shown over the week.

Kindness #2

This week I did many kind acts, some including making people feel better. A few week ago my family, cousins and I went to Ambleside Park for a picnic. When we got their we were sitting down talking, but for some reason my 3 year old cousin was crying from the start. I tried distracting him but he wouldn’t stop crying, then I realized that he was just bored, so I went and got a ball from my car that was really far away from where we were at and then started playing soccer with him. After doing this act of kindness he was happy and so was I, since I made somebody from really sad to really happy. That’s one of the acts of kindness I did over the weekend.

Kindness #1

These 2 weeks I did many kind things, some including helping others.  My mom had back pain for 2 weeks and so she couldn’t carry heavy things, so I brought everything in for her for 2 weeks now. After doing this, I felt good for helping my mom, specially since she helps me all the time too. I think it made her feel good too, since she didn’t have to struggle bringing the food inside with her back pain. That’s one of the acts of kindness I did over these 2 weeks.

The Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress

“The Morris Micklewhite and the Tangerine Dress” written by Christine Baldacchino and illustrated by Isabelle Malenfant is a book created for an age group of 7 – 9 years olds and was first published in 2014. The book is about this boy named Morris who lived with his mom and his dog. Morris liked school and many other things. The thing Morris liked the most was dressing in random stuff. Sometime people made fun of Morris, but Morris pretended he can’t hear the words, but he could. One day a boy came and then ripped the dress off his back. At lunch time no boy would sit beside Morris. Morris was sad at home thinking about how people treated him but his mom always made him feel better. One Sunday, Morris dreamed of being in a safari ride with his mom in space. When he woke up he wanted to share everything he had seen with his mom, and he did. Then one day Morris went with a painting of his dream to school. Morris went to a plane with his friends. And went to space to see elephants, tigers and more animals. Then they came back to earth and had lunch. “Hey but boys don’t wear dresses”. Morris’s friend said. “Well this boy does”. Said Morris. I liked this book because it shows not to listen to bullies and shows that you can do what you want to do, even if others don’t like it. Overall I liked this book and I enjoyed reading it.

2

The book “2” is written and illustrated by Kathryn Otoshi is a book made for an age group of 7-9. “2” is a book about these two numbers that were best friends, until three came. Three said “Where have the odds.” and started playing with 1 but not allowing 2 to play. 2 was sad. Then 4, 6 and 8 came. They made 2 happier and then 2 was thinking of stop being friends with 1, but then 0 came and said why can’t we all just be friends. So then all the numbers played together and guess what, 1 and 2 were still friends. I liked this book because it had a lot of puns and rhymes. I also liked the illustration since it was good and simple. Overall, I think that this book was good and I would enjoy reading it if I was a few years younger.
