Nerdy Birdy Tweets

“Nerdy Birdy Tweets” written by Aaron Reynolds and illustrated by Matt Davies is a picture book made for an age group of 7-10 year-olds. It’s about this bird who loves playing video games who also has a friend named Vulture who thinks video games are boring. Nerdy Birdy and Vulture are very different but they’re still best friends. Somethings they like doing together is making fun of each other lunch, making silly faces and taking goofy pictures of each other. Then an hour later Nerdy Birdy had 50 new tweetster friends and a year later, Nerdy Birdy had a hundred new tweetster friends. A week later Nerdy Birdy had 500 tweetster friends. Vulture decided to fly away, then Nerdy Birdy noticed. One day Vulture got back on Tweetster and realized something “Why did you tweet this”. Vulture asked. “I thought it was funny”. “It’s embarrassing though”. Said vulture. “Sorry” Nerdy Birdy replied. Then Vulture left him. Then Nerdy Birdy found him one day. Then Nerdy Birdy apologized and they were best friends again. Something I liked from this book is it’s illustration since every picture is an a box. Another thing I liked about the book is it’s message. It says that if you ever mess up, always apologize. Overall I think it was a good book and I would enjoy reading it if I was 8 years old.
